Housefull 5 – Bollywood’s Star-Studded Cruise Comedy

Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, hit theaters on June 6, 2025, marking the fifth installment in the hit franchise . Filmed largely aboard a luxury cruise ship sailing from Newcastle to Spain and Normandy, the film blends slapstick comedy with a murder-mystery twist 

The plot centers on the death of billionaire Ranjeet Dobriyal during his 100th birthday cruise, leaving his fortune to his son “Jolly.” Chaos ensues when three men—Julius, Jalbhushan, and Jalabuddin (played by Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh respectively)—each claim to be Jolly, all bearing the same birthmark 

In a first for Indian cinema, Housefull 5 was released in two versions—5A and 5B—each featuring a different climax and reveal of the killer—a bold experiment that made headlines for its replay value.
